Oura Spirit is perhaps the most lovely accommodation my partner and I have stayed in (globally). The staff are friendly, helpful and very willing to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The rooms are beautiful, the shared areas and pool are fantastic, and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. You also have the option to order lunches and dinners, which are very tasty and cooked with fresh market produce. Massive brownie points for Lola the dog!

Oura Spirit was an incredible place to stay! It felt so tropical and serene, the pool area has the most gorgeous plants and the food was incredible, with enormous portions. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to just relax!!

The villa itself is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, spacious, and impeccably maintained. The rooms are comfortable, the common areas are inviting, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to switch off and relax. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this villa is an excellent choice.

“Little Heaven”

This place really exceeded all of our expectations. From the style of the villa, room, ensuite, pool, dining, yoga space and most importantly the staff – they really created a piece of heaven here. The food was amazing. They also have offerings for surfing, yoga and other activities by just speaking with the staff.

“A peaceful stunning sanctuary”

Oura Spirit is a true sanctuary. Stunning greenery, beautiful architecture and a perfect pool with pods around it for lounging and reading. The team were truly wonderful. They accommodated my daughter’s and my coeliac disease, providing gluten-free breakfast. When making up our room the staff created hilarious creatures out of towels which entertained our 9-year-old (and us adults!).

This hotel is breathtakingly beautiful!!! The rooms and bathroom especially feel so luxurious and tropical. The coffee here is the best coffee we had all holiday! And they put so much love into the breakfast and the dinners. Extremely great value for everything you get here!!

The rooms were incredibly spacious, modern, and spotless. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff: genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to assist. They help you arrange a tuk-tuk who will pick you up wherever you are within 10 minutes. Without doubt this was the best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka.

“Immaculate in peaceful and relaxing setting”

A little oasis only 7 minutes from Unawatuna Beach by tuk-tuk. Very peaceful and well designed with lots of different areas to relax around the refreshing pool. The bedroom and bathroom were huge and immaculate. The breakfast was amazing – lots of fruit, sliced veg, different flavoured hummus, breads, pancakes, cakes, juice, eggs and fresh coffee. They organise tuk-tuk drivers and we kept the same one for all our travel.

“Just fab”

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Fantastic hospitality. So clean. Breakfast was included and was so yummy. The hotel provided us with a scooter and surf lessons too. Fab Wi-Fi, strong enough to work from the rooms.

Our stay truly felt like home. The staff went above and beyond – they even prepared a special lunch for me when I requested something specific. I was working remotely and there was plenty of space to work comfortably. One of my favourite parts was breakfast each morning with the other guests; it genuinely felt like being part of a little family.

This was our final and favourite stay in Sri Lanka. Every detail is perfect. The pool area is super chilled and the breakfast area is stunning. Our room was so stylish and huge. We ate at the hotel a couple of times and the food was really lovely and reasonably priced.

A beautiful family-run boutique property in the heart of Unawatuna, just a few minutes from the busy streets and yet in a calm, super quiet neighbourhood in the midst of nature. The rooms were huge, super comfy and spotless. The huge pool with pristine clear water is a total gem. Great value for money.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully done. What really sets this place apart is the owner and staff – incredibly attentive, thoughtful and genuinely helpful. They gave us great local recommendations, looked out for us when it came to fair prices, and connected us with a reliable tuk-tuk driver we used throughout our stay.

“Home feel away from home”

Very stylish and modern, surrounded by lots of plants and trees. The hotel has its own chef on site – I highly recommend the chicken and fish curry. The hotel can organise any tours you’d like and their own tuk-tuk and taxi service is trustworthy and fairly priced. The property is gated with on-site security, so it feels very safe and private.

“An extremely beautiful stay with lovely people”

Lovely design and very tranquil. They had fresh mango trees which they would serve to all the guests as they fell. The rooms were kept extremely clean. We were unfortunately ill during our stay, but everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after.

When we arrived, we got a fresh cold towel and a welcome coconut! Everything is so beautiful, exactly like the pictures. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh fruits, pancakes, different kinds of bread, juice, tea and coffee, eggs… It’s a little oasis.

Great breakfast. Warm welcome with wet towels and coconut. The pool is extremely nice, the whole architecture and interior, big room and nice shower and bath. Only 10 rooms, which makes it very personal.

Our room was huge with beautiful decor; we particularly liked the outdoor shower and bath. The staff were very friendly and arranged for us to do a sauna and ice bath at their other property. The outdoor pool and breakfast area is great.

Oura Spirit is a beautiful oasis of calm! We spent the last days of our trip here and couldn’t have chosen better. The whole team welcomed us warmly and looked after us lovingly. The rooms are stylish and the whole place is spotless. The food is excellent, and the breakfast buffet in particular has everything you could wish for.

Surrounded by calm and beautiful plants. The food was truly phenomenal: everything is fresh and homemade, and you can taste that it is made with love. There is one big central table where everyone can eat together and chat – a really lovely idea. Everything was spotless and well maintained.

A wonderful place to enjoy and relax. The photos don’t do it justice. Everything is high quality and stylish. The peaceful atmosphere is made even better by the warm, attentive staff. We were cooked delicious dinners every evening and also used the yoga room and the massage offer.
